Walking through Hanoi you will most likely stumble across many Buddhist temples down narrow alleys or often sandwiched between apartment buildings, but the majestic Tran Quoc Pagoda stands on a small island in West Lake. The temple was built in the 6th century, and still brings devouts Hanoians and tourists to its canary yellow shrines.
